Five African-American sites

Five  African-American sites are rich in culture and pride. You can see many historical sites in the USA and the world. The African-American people sites have made a significant contribution to every race globally.

Underground Railroad Center / Hobbies on a  Budget

I would have to say," an outstanding African-American site to visit is the National Underground Railroad Center was opened in 2004. I was built to remember slaves that ran away in the Southern States. These slaves were mistreated by the plantation owners. This center is located in Cincinnati, Ohio. This center pays tribute to all that strive to abolish slavery. When they think of "The Underground Railroad, most people think of Harriet Tubman, but there were many people involved in abolishing slavery."Before they built this center, it took 10 years of planning and cost $110 million

I would have to say," an outstanding African-American site to visit. The International Civil Rights Center & Museum. It is located in Greensboro, North Carolina; it opened in 2010. This building represents the "Civil Right Movement in the USA." It is to remember Feb 1,1960, a whites-only lunch counter in Greensboro, by N.C. A&T Four college students reflecting on careful planning with colleagues at Bennett College. This was their non-violent action that started a movement. This non-violent action Americans to abide by the U.S. Constitution.

Negro Leagues Baseball Museum / nlbm.mlblogs.com

I would have to say," an outstanding African-American site to visit is the "Negro Leagues Baseball Museum," which is privately owned. I was founded in 1990 in Kansas City, Missouri. It is dedicated to Nego baseball players. When you move through the museum, it is like going back in time. You can not help but think of great baseball players like Josh Gibson, the "Black Babe Ruth." Satchel Paige was a great negro league pitcher that made it to a major league baseball team and was the oldest player to win rookie of the year. Who can forget Jackie Robinson, the first player of color to make it to the major league baseball and play for the L. A Dodgers Baseball team. You can even see the player lockers inside the museum. This museum chronologically charts how the Negro leagues changed. It has informative placards and interactive exhibits. Its walls are lined with pictures of players, owners, and officials of Negro league baseball from the Negro National League.

Louis Armstrong House Museum / New York Landmarks ConservancyLouis Armstrong House Museum

I would have to say," an outstanding African-American site to visit. The great trumpet player Louis Armstrong's house is an exceptional African-American site. This house is on 107th Street in the Corona neighborhood of Queens in New York City. He and his wife lived in this house from 1943 to 1971. His wife Lucille gave ownership of the home to the city of New York, which turned it into a museum to remember her human Louis Armstrong.

I would have to say," an outstanding African-American site to visit is Congo Square; it is an open space in the Tremé neighborhood of New Orleans. Jazz was born in 1800 by enslaved people. In the 18th century, enslaved Africans were commonly allowed Sundays off work. Although "Code Nora" was implemented in 1724, giving enslaved Africans the day off on Sundays, no laws gave them the right to assemble.
