it was just a great thrill coming up in New York City in the era of 1940 there were lots of excitement. This is a time when families use to eat together at the dinner table. I would say " Families were a lot closer".They used to gather together in their homes and listen to the radio. There were many nightclubs in New York. Most people in New York were in the golden range of jazz between the year 1938 to 1948. Later on in life, he decided he want to take pictures of jazz bands. He later determined that it would not pay a photographer to accompany Gottlieb's visits to jazz clubs, so Gottlieb borrowed a press camera and began taking pictures for his

    Whoever wrote that has never heard of THE PRINCESS DIARIES. I dare you to try Googling Ann Hathaway, the great jazz singer of the late '40s. She doesn't even have a Wikipedia page! And even Google is pretty sure you couldn't possibly be looking for anyone other than the newer, larger-lipped, non-intimate Ann who has an 'e' at the end of her name—the one from LES MISERABLES

    Childers became famous in 1942 at the age of 16, when Stan Kenton hired him to be the lead trumpet in his band. Buddy ChildersBuddy ChildersStan Kenton .Childers worked with Kenton for years, and also performed with the big bands.Looking back, Childers told Steve Voce, “I had this thing in my mind that I had to join a name band at 16 or I’d never be able to make it as a musician. I was thinking of Harry James so young with Ben Pollack and then with Benny Goodman, and Corky Corcoran who joined Sonny Dunham when he was 16 and then became Harry James’s leading soloist the next year.” Childers stayed with Kenton’s orchestra, with intervals, until 1954.

    At the age of five or six, he taught himself to read music by picking out melodies on his family’s piano and looking over his sister’s shoulder as she took lessons. music was known for its humorous, almost playful, quality. He was also one of the most prolific composers in the history of jazz. Many of his compositions, which were generally written in the 12-bar blues or the 32-bar ballad form, became jazz standard
